I am a French designer based in Brixton, South London. After completing an MA in Art History in France, I was eager to travel. I first ventured to London, then New York and eventually settled in London.
Always fascinated by the wallpaper designs my grand-father had all over his house in Burgundy, I returned to this interest in 2005 and enrolled on the ‘Surface Design’ course at the London College of Communication. I later joined the programme as a member of staff.
My practice developed through experimentation with natural dyes , beginning with foraged mulberries in West Square, Elephant & Castle, in 2017. This led me to create natural dye pastes for printing on fabric and paper.
Exploring the possibilities of colours from plant matters is part of my ongoing research. I want to contribute to a better understanding and respect of our natural resources and engage with more sustainable practices through my design work.
Connecting and sharing with others eco-conscience designers and artists is essential to build relevant knowledge and experiences. Each collaboration, whether workshop or project, inspires and triggers more interesting and exciting prospects. fostering new ideas and opportunities.
I am the co-founder of Ceres studio 1 and currently work as a Specialist Print & Dye technician at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
Welcome collaborations and commissions.
